Turkish iron ore imports decrease in August
Turkish iron ore import volume decreased -29.6% year-on-year in August, led by a plunge in intake from Brazil, following a 17.4% on-year increase in July, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
August's iron ore imports came in at 583,091 tonnes. Their total average value/tonne decreased to $70/t from $72/t a year earlier, TUIK figures show.
