Turkish iron ore imports decline despite Australia surge
Turkish iron ore imports fell -27% on-year in April to 564,631 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. The average price of these imports was $73/tonne versus $99.7/t in April 2018.
Brazil was by far the biggest supplier with 334,358t, up 24%, followed by Australia which provided 164,140t versus zero in the year-earlier month. Sweden, however, supplied zero versus nearly 250,000t a year earlier. Russia and Ukraine sā¦
