Turkish iron ore imports decline on-year in April
Iron ore imports in Turkey decreased -23.6% year-on-year to 781,228 tonnes in April. The total average value of these imports went down to $61/t from $86/t a year ago, Kallanish calculates from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
The decline follows a 26.4% on-year increase to 1.05 million t in March, when Brazil alone imported 515,900t.
Brazil remained the top iron ore importer in April with a 29.6% on-year growth in shipments to 337,400t. …
