Turkish imported scrap quietens, correction possible
Business activity in Turkey’s scrap import market has slowed this week, following a busy last week.
Turkish mills concluded more than 15 deep-sea scrap cargoes for February and March shipment last week. Besides the new cargo sales, many suppliers have sold additional tonnages to their existing contracts. Following these new and additional cargo bookings, Turkey’s February-shipment scrap requirements are almost fully covered.
