Turkish imported scrap prices stabilise with fresh bookings
After a prolonged rising trend which saw imported scrap prices reach $259/tonne cfr Turkey at the end of last week, the increase has seemingly halted this week with the conclusion of fresh bookings.
A Turkish mill bought a cargo from a US supplier, at $260/t and $265/t for 18,000 tonnes of HMS 1/2 80:20 and 12,000t shredded respectively.
Two other mills are heard to have bought US cargoes at $259/t and $260/t for HMS 1/2 80:20.
