Turkish imported scrap remains stable on fresh deals
Turkish mills have accelerated imported scrap purchases, as expected.
Four fresh bookings were heard on Thursday, two from the same supplier but different origins. UK-origin HMS 1&2 80:20 scrap was bought by a Marmara mill at $491/tonne cfr Turkey. The same supplier’s price in the previous booking that was concluded early this week appeared at $489/t cfr.
