Turkish imported scrap falls further as mills return
Turkish mills resumed scrap purchases on Thursday, as expected, and prices then decreased further in bookings heard on Friday.
A southern mill has bought 25,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 80:20 at $444/tonne cfr Turkey from Venezuela. Two other mills in the same region have concluded bookings from the Baltic at $444.5/t cfr. While one contains 6,000t of HMS 1&2 95:5, the other contains HMS 1&2 80:20.
