Turkish imported scrap falls on fresh Baltic deal
Turkish producers’ lack of appetite for scrap purchases is persisting. The higher availability of scrap offers in the market is meanwhile exerting downward pressure on scrap prices.
This pressure, coupled with the EU-origin scrap bookings at lower prices last weekend, has caused a Baltic-origin supplier to accept a lower price than it offered.
