Turkish HR flats imports flatten in August
Turkey's hot-rolled (HR) flat steel imports flattened on-year in August as increased procurement from Europe and Brazil offset lower imports from Russia and East Asia, Kallanish notes from Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
August's HR flats imports totalled 467,222 tonnes, up 0.15% year-on-year. The overall average value/tonne of these imports increased to $578/t from $548/t a year ago, calculations from the latest TUIK data show.…
