Turkish HR flats imports climb in June
Turkey's hot rolled (HR) flat steel imports rose by 1.7% year-on-year to 495,067 tonnes in June as shipments from the main importer countries rose at the same pace, Kallanish notes.
The total average value/tonne of these imports decreased to $487/t from $518/t a year ago, the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data show.
HR wide strip imports increased 6.1% on-year to 441,009t, accounting for 89.1% of Turkey's total HR flats intake for June.
