Turkish HR flats exports almost halve in July
Turkish hot rolled (HR) flat steel exports decreased -47.8% year-on-year to 98,625 tonnes in July as shipments to Europe and MENA fell, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
The total average value/tonne of these exports increased to $483/t from $429/t a year earlier, according to calculations from TUIK data.
The US was Turkey's largest buyer of HR flats in July, with a jump in intake to 28,964t from 5,403t a year ago.…
