Turkish flats imports collapse in March, plate holds
Turkey's imports of hot rolled flat products collapsed in March, but first-quarter volumes continued to grow.
Arrivals of HR flat products under HS code heading 7208 amounted to just 296,518 tonnes in March, down 44.8% on-month and 41.5% on-year. But first-quarter volumes were still up 3.6% on-year to 1.32 million tonnes, show Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
