Turkish flat steel prices keep falling
A lull in business activity ahead of Turkey's general election on 14 May, a lack of liquidity, and pressure from import offers have led to a decline in flat steel prices in Turkey in the last week, according to market participants interviewed by Kallanish.
Domestic prices have been falling, despite the implementation of new import duty rates for flat steel from 1 May, which now range from 15% to 20% compared to the previous range of 0% to 15%.
