N Africa drives Turkey’s HR flats exports surge
Turkey’s hot rolled flats exports jumped by 119% year-on-year to 151,208 tonnes in February, driven by the surge in shipments to the North African region. The total average value/tonne of these exports decreased to $338/t that month from $583/t a year ago, Kallanish calculates from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
February’s growth follows a 28.1% y-o-y rise to 129,613t in January, mainly thanks to a surge in shipments to Europe.…
