Turkish economic confidence falls further despite construction rebound
Turkey’s economic confidence index declined to 78.5 in January from 81.9 in December 2018, despite a rebound in construction sector confidence, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
This came as Turkey’s consumer, real estate, services and retail trade confidence indices all declined on-month in January, with the latter two each registering the steepest decline of -4%.
