Turkish domestic scrap prices decline
Some Turkish mills have reduced their scrap buying prices following two months of near continuous increases, Kallanish notes.
Integrated flat steelmaker Erdemir cut its auto-bundle (DKP) buying price by TRY 60/tonne to TRY 1,240/tonne ($361/t) on 11 September from TRY 1,300/t asked for since 16 August. Its longs and flats making subsidiary Isdemir's buying price has also dropped by TRY 60/t since August to TRY 1,190/t from 11 September.
