Turkish domestic scrap prices rise further
Turkish domestic scrap prices have increased again this week as mills raised their auto-bundle (DKP) and shipbreaking scrap buying prices, while scrap import prices stabilised, Kallanish notes.
Alloy steelmaker Asil Celik and scrap-based long and flat steelmaker Colakoglu have raised their DKP purchasing prices each to TRY 880/t ($248/t) and TRY 845/t, or by TRY 55/tonne on-week, effective 26 December.
