Turkish domestic scrap prices continue to fall
Turkish mills have reduced further their domestic scrap buying prices in the past week, reflecting the downwards trend in scrap import prices, Kallanish notes.
Shipbreaking scrap prices have lost $10/tonne on-week to $265/t delivered basis, informs the Ship Recyclers' Association of Turkey (Gemisander). All the mills in the region are asking the same price and are actively buying ship scrap, according to the association.
