Turkish domestic scrap prices follow imports rise
Turkish domestic scrap prices rose further this week as mills lifted their buying prices, reflecting the increase in scrap import prices, Kallanish notes.
Integrated flat steelmaker Erdemir raised its auto-bundle (DKP) purchasing price to TRY 1,300/tonne ($370/t) on 16 August, up TRY 65/t on-week. Its subsidiary Isdemir still keeps its buying price at TRY 1,100/t, held at that level since July.
