Turkish domestic scrap prices decline
Turkish domestic scrap prices have declined through the past week as some mills reduced their scrap purchasing prices, while scrap import prices ticked up, Kallanish notes.
Local scrap-based long and flat steelmaker Colakoglu Metalurji and alloy steelmaker Asil Celik have cut their auto-bundle (DKP) purchasing prices to TRY 915/t ($261/t) and TRY 1,010/t as from 16 June. This represents a fall of by TRY 20/tonne month-on-month.
