Turkish domestic scrap prices continue to fall
Turkish mills have again reduced their domestic scrap purchasing prices this week as scrap import prices have slumped further, Kallanish notes.
Local scrap-based long steelmaker Kroman Celik has cut its auto-bundle (DKP) buying price to TRY 1,000/tonne ($281/t) as from 28 September, down TRY 50/t since last week. Peer Diler Demir Celik's DKP price has fallen by TRY 20/t in two days to TRY 1,055/t, effective 28 September.
