Turkish domestic, export HRC prices soften
Turkish hot-rolled coil (HRC) prices in the domestic and export markets slipped on-week last week, as pressure from buyers and imports increased, market participants tell Kallanish.
Local mills have tried to maintain their asking prices for December-rolling HRC at $580-600/tonne, but $580/t was the most heard offer level last week. However, weak demand and cheaper import offers are pressing mills towards making discounts, sources comment.
