Turkish demand surge lifts Polish scrap exports
Polish scrap exports surged 37% on-year in November 2019 to 222,358 tonnes, according to data from Poland’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) monitored by Kallanish. The average value of obsolete scrap under HS code 720449 exports, however, fell to PLN 905/tonne ($228) versus PLN 1,196/t in November 2018.
