Turkey decreases metallics imports from Russia
Turkish imports of pig iron increased slightly in the first quarter but direct reduced iron/hot-briquetted iron imports declined.
According to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data, Turkish pig iron intake rose 5% on-year in Q1 to 340,286 tonnes. However, supply from Russia plummeted to almost 170,000t from 258,000t a year earlier.
