Turkish crude steel production decreases in October
Turkey's crude steel production declined -15% on-year and -1.7% on-month in October to 2.7 million tonnes, according to the Turkish Steel Producers Association (TCUD).
Electric arc furnace-based output fell -18.5% on-year in October and BOF-based output dropped by -6.6%.
Over January-October Turkish crude steel output thus dropped -10.6% on-year to 28mt, with EAF-based production down -12.8% to 19mt and BOF-based output down -5.6% to 9mt.
