Turkish construction confidence improves, but overall economy declines
Turkey’s seasonally-adjusted construction sector confidence index rose to 52.4 in July compared to 50.4 the previous month, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) says in a note seen by Kallanish.
The index for building activity over the past three months rose to 59.1 versus 55.4 in June, while current overall order-books increased to 38.7 from 37.3 in June.
An index above 100 indicates an optimistic outlook, while below 100 indicates a pessimist…
