Turkish coking coal imports slump
Turkish coking coal imports under HS code 27011210 fell -40% on-year in November 2020 to 428,431 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. Their average price was $105/tonne versus $170/t a year earlier.
Australia supplied 252,227t of coking coal in November, down by almost half on-year. Intake from the US dropped by almost 100,000t to 68,574t, but intake from Canada was 85,941t versus zero a year earlier.
