Kardemir sales send Turkish billet prices flying
Kardemir has increased prices for rebar and billet in its new price list published on 25 November, while keeping sales closed for blooms, profiles, wire rod and pig iron, Kallanish learns from the Turkish integrated steel producer.
Prices of 12-32mm diameter rebar for the domestic market are up by TRY 305/tonne ($38) from its previous price list issued on 18 November to TRY 4,160/t ($520/t).
Billet prices were hiked to TRY 3,885-4,195/t.
