Turkish billet exports zero in August
Turkish semi-finished product exports virtually zeroed in August, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
This compares to 41,830 tonnes of semis exports in August 2019 and 29,214t in July 2020, an over-two-year low.
In January-August Turkish semis exports thus slumped -61% on-year to 397,558t, with Morocco, Saudi Arabia and Tunisia the largest markets in that order.
