Billet exports from Turkey slump in May
Turkish semi-finished product exports, the vast majority of which were billet, fell -47% on-year in May to 39,485 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. They were also down from 56,309t in April.
This is the lowest monthly semis export tonnage since November 2019.
