Turkey's April slab arrivals dip on higher prices
April slab arrivals into Turkey declined on-month but rose on-year, with four-month imports still considerably down on-year.
The decline was on the back of Turkish re-rollers resisting purchasing from CIS suppliers. The latter, having almost complete exclusivity in the Turkish slab import market, had been raising their offers in line with rising hot rolled coil prices since the start of the year, Kallanish notes.
