Turkey’s steel consumption, output rise in January-February
Turkey’s finished steel production increased 6% year-on-year to 5.88 million tonnes in the first two months of 2016, according to the Turkish Steel Producers’ Association (TCUD).
Production of long products in the country rose by 4.9% y-o-y to 4.18mt, while flats output was up 8.6% to 1.70mt in January-February. Longs thus accounted for 71.1% of Turkey’s total finished steel production for the period, TCUD says in a statement seen by Kallanish.…
