Turkey’s September wire rod imports continue slump
Turkish wire rod exports continued their on-year slump in September, more than halving to 54,568 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. They were also down from 74,008t in August.
Their average price was $585/tonne, versus $675/t in September 2022 and $599/t in August 2023.
Exports of deformed reinforcing rod comprised 32,151t, down 55.6% on-year. Israel, a major market, halved intake to 11,840t. Romania took 11,107…
