Turkey’s September scrap imports drop as China-origin billet supply grows

Turkish scrap imports decreased further in September as the increase in billet imports from China continued. Scrap imports dropped by -39% year-on-year to 1.015 million tonnes and their average overall price declined by $143/tonne to $237/t cfr Turkey, Kallanish learns from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
