Turkey's scrap imports fall on-year in March
Turkish scrap imports declined -6.1% year-on-year to 1.74 million tonnes in March, mainly driven by reduced deliveries from the UK, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
Compared to February, however, March imports surged 75.6%. The total average value/tonne of these imports rose to $272/t from $198/t in March 2016.
