Turkey's Russia-origin HR flats imports grow in June
Turkey's hot-rolled (HR) flat steel imports remained flat on-year in June. A surge in shipments from the CIS compensated for the decrease in intake from East Asia, Europe and Brazil, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
June's HR flats imports stood at 495,097 tonnes. The overall average value/tonne of these imports increased to $576/tonne from $487/t a year earlier.
