Turkey’s October rebar exports decrease despite Egypt surge
Turkish rebar exports declined -21.1% year-on-year to 502,908 tonnes in October, mainly driven by a drop in United Arab Emirates-bound shipments. The average price of these exports decreased $201/tonne to $356/t, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
The decrease in exports follows a -0.6% y-o-y fall to 597,044 in September and a 13.4% rise to 632,203t in August.
