Zero US buying slashes Turkish October rebar exports
Turkish rebar exports decreased -19.6% year-on-year in October, due to a slump in shipments to the Middle East and North Africa, and the Americas, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
October's rebar exports came in at 409,526 tonnes. In September rebar exports totalled 250,149t, down -43% y-o-y. The overall average value/tonne of October's shipments increased to $517/t from $380/t a year earlier.
