Turkey's pig iron imports surge, Russia's share dips
In November 2023, Turkey's pig iron imports increased by 91% on-year, reaching 140,869 tonnes, at an average price of $412/tonne, Kallanish notes from Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
November import volumes decreased compared to October by 5.92%, when Turkey imported 149,734t.
In January to November, pig iron imports increased only modestly, by 2.29% on-year to 1,306,895t.
