Turkey’s October iron ore imports double on-year
Turkey’s iron ore imports surged by 99.7% year-on-year to 981,346 tonnes in October, driven by supplies from Brazil. The average price of these imports dropped to $71/tonne from $98/t a year ago, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
The growth follows a 12.8% y-o-y rise in imports to 950,101t in September after a -13% decline to 828,076t in August.
