Turkey's October billet imports decline on China drop
Turkey's billet imports decreased -16% year-on-year to 365,065 tonnes in October. Imports from CIS surged but this could not compensate for the plunge in intake from China, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
The average value of overall billet imports slipped to $347/t from $348/t a year ago, according to calculations made using TUIK data.
