Turkey's billet imports from CIS plunge in October
Turkish billet imports more than halved year-on-year in October as CIS-origin billet supplies decreased notably, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
October's billet imports totalled 156,290 tonnes, down -57.2% y-o-y and -4.7% from September. The overall average value/tonne of these imports, however, increased to $527/t from $347/t a year ago.
