Turkey’s November iron ore imports rise 28% on-year
Turkey’s iron ore imports rose 28.2% year-on-year to 768,625 tonnes in November. The average price of these imports decreased to $67/tonne from $108/t a year earlier, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
The volume increase follows a surge by 99.7% y-o-y to 981,346t in October, and a 12.8% rise in imports to 950,101t in September, after a -13% decline to 828,076t in August.
