Turkey's CR flats imports rise in May
Turkey's cold rolled (CR) flat steel imports rose 4.4% on-year to 110,940 tonnes in May, mainly thanks to increased intake from East Asia, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
The total average value/tonne of these imports increased to $1,015/t from $762/t a year ago, TUIK data calculations show.
