Turkey’s May construction confidence falls, economic index up
Turkey’s seasonally-adjusted construction confidence index, which recovered in April, fell again in May. The index, which was at 83.5 in April, decreased by 2.2% in May to 81.6, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) says in a note seen by Kallanish.
The index for building activity over the past three months fell to 93.8 in May versus 96.0 in April, while that for current overall orderbooks fell to 76.9 from 80.7.
