Turkey’s long steel quotes rise amid costlier scrap
Turkish long steel producers have increased their long steel offer prices because they have been forced to pay higher prices for scrap, Kallanish hears from market participants.
On Thursday, Turkish mills’ official rebar offers were at $560-575/tonne fob Turkey actual weight, up from $550-565/t last week. Offers for mesh-quality wire rod are at $570-590/t fob.
