Turkey’s Koc Metallurgy extends production halt
Koc Metallurgy has decided to extend its crude steel output suspension – begun on 7 April – for another month.
The company has also decided to halt production at its rebar rolling mill.
“This is a result of current market conditions amid low demand and low price levels,” the company tells Kallanish.
The production halt at all facilities will continue through May and there is a possibility of another extension in June.
