Kaptan gets EAF expansion, HRC addition environmental approval
Turkey’s Ministry of Environment and Urbanisation says it has approved Turkish long steelmaker Kaptan Demir Celik's meltshop capacity increase and hot rolled coil diversification project.
Kaptan’s annual crude steel production capacity is planned to increase to 3.14 million tonnes from the current 1.14mt and rolling capacity is targeted to increase to 2.9mt from 900,000t.
