Turkey’s June rod exports slump, imports double
Turkish wire rod exports continued their on-year slump in June, more than halving to 43,966 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. They were, nevertheless, up from 26,864t in April and 39,559t in May.
Their average price was $673/tonne, versus $902/t in June 2022 and $681/t in May 2023.
