Turkey's June economic confidence falls despite stronger construction
Turkey’s economic confidence index fell in June, by 3.3% from May to 93.6, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
The decline in economic confidence stemmed from decreases in the consumer, real sector (manufacturing industry), services and retail trade confidence indices.
Turkey’s construction confidence index, which was at 81.64 in May, nevertheless increased by 1.7% in June to 83.04 (see Kallanish passim).
